I remember leaving SpringDig 2016 and being thankful that we had simply survived. I remember saying, "well, it can't get any worse than that!" I should have knocked on some mad wood, because what a wild one Sleepy Creek SpringDig 2017 turned out to be! There were several moments over the weekend I wanted to crawl in a hole and die. I got close. But I didn't. And neither did you. In fact, there were hardly a dampened spirit among us! I am amazed over and over at the love and commitment we have seen from the crowd at Sleepy Creek. It makes me tear up at times (to say the least lol). And the same must be said for the crew, who works for pennies, and performs like gold. There ain't no better! There really ain't! And to the selfless efforts from the campground members, as they constantly address the floods, and save my ass behind the scenes. Y'all know who you are! It takes a lot of love to do all the things y'all do. And I love you for it! Sleepy Creek has become a special place for a lot of us and it shows. I can only hope we are all in attendance for that one special time when we get no rain! Who knows what could happen that weekend!!! Anyway, it's all standard procedure at this point. Rain or shine, the show must go on. And it does. And it will. And it is always awesome. And it's only thanks to YOU! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! You Guys Rock!!! Much Love.
